Supercell has been openly (but quietly) developing a new mobile title, known as Project RISE, since it was first announced in the middle of 2024. The action, role-playing game set in the iconic Clash universe is built upon the foundations of a previously canceled Supercell title, Clash Heroes, and thus bears some resemblance in terms of gameplay and art style.

Project RISE carried out two brief pre-Alpha tests on iOS devices shortly after the game was announced. Now, the developers are back to launch its first Alpha test on both Android and iOS devices. Supercell hopes to use this to collect feedback about the game's features and identify bugs. The 3-day test will begin on January 17 and end on January 19.

To join, players will need to sign up through an online registration form. Only Android devices that meet the requirements of being Android 11 or higher and having more than 3 GB of RAM will be able to properly run the game. Meanwhile, most iOS devices can support Project RISE. Players who have successfully signed up will be able to download the game from the app store.

The gameplay will certainly be the full focus of the test. The team-based combat encourages players to work together as they climb the various floors of 'The Tower.' There will be a host of challenging enemies and obstacles on the way, which all require skill and teamwork. As the game is set in the expansive Clash universe, which includes games such as Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars, the characters players can choose from may be familiar to some.

Project RISE is one of two mobile games currently under development by Supercell. The second title, called mo.co, is a hack-and-slash, fantasy monster-hunting game that was first announced in October 2023.
