Brawl Stars has never been in a better place than it is at the moment. Soaring popularity, consistent yet meaningful game updates, a growing player base, and massive collaborations – it's easy to see why the game continues to reach new heights.

With 2025 in full swing, many in the community are curious to know what lies in store for the future of Brawl Stars and how Supercell will continue to improve the gameplay experience.

Fortunately, Brawl Stars General Manager, Frank Keienburg has presented a first look at the game's roadmap for the coming year in a new video.

It's undoubtedly a lengthy roadmap and unsurprisingly packed to the brim with exciting points. From huge reworks to several new collaborations, 2025 will be a year to look forward to.

Brawl Stars Roadmap 2025 Overview

If you are not familiar with the Brawl Stars' update schedule, it's important to note that new updates are rolled out over a two-month window. It's also important to note that the plans explained by Frank are largely ideas that are subject to change in the future. We will get a better idea of what these updates will look like the closer we are to them.

Brawl Stars Ranked World Championship

The first update of the year aims to integrate Ranked mode and the Brawl Stars esports scene closer together. As is the case in many other mobile games, the skill-based ranked mode can often be a pathway for players to earn their place in the game's flagship esports competition. This is what Supercell hopes to achieve with this integration while, at the same time, offering casual players to compete.

With Ranked being the focus of this update, Supercell also wants to improve the mechanics of the mode itself. Overall, they hope to introduce changes to make Ranked more competitive for try-hard players, ensure there is a smoother transition from casual to pro, and add quality-of-life improvements. For example, one of the changes may be a guaranteed Ranked skin after opening a certain number of Ranked Drops.

Another massive collaboration will be launched in this update, with none other than the classic card game, UNO. We have been assured that it is a "really, really cool collab" and will feature a new game mode and several exclusive cosmetics.

Besides this, small gameplay improvements will be introduced.

Brawl Stars Mastery Rework Roadmap

A major rework of a gameplay aspect was on the cards for this update. Supercell overhauled the Mastery System and the Trophy Road.

With the Trophy Road, they incorporated more Starr Park lore into the system, as it was previously unexplored in the game and only explored on their socials. Some of you may recall the Starr Park CCTV story lore spread around the game's socials at the end of 2023.

On the other hand, the Mastery System was replaced with Records. This new progression system allows players to earn Record Points and Starr Drops for completing in-game objectives, such as eliminating Brawlers or performing a certain action in a specific game mode.

Additionally, Supercell confirmed that "if everything goes to plan," all Brawlers should have a Hypercharge by this update.

With every Brawler now having their own Hypercharge by now (hopefully), Supercell will turn its attention to resolving the Power Point issue that many long-time Brawl Stars players face. Is the solution to finally add Power Level 12? Well, to the developers, the answer is no, as they did not feel like this would be fair to newer players. They stated they have yet to decide on what to do next.

At the moment, we only know that they aim to create "something new that feels fun, adds another expression for skill, and would be upgraded mostly with Power Points."

October 2025

The last update of 2025 will see the much-needed rework of the Map Maker feature. Supercell would like to make it easier to approve maps and to share maps with other players through the use of codes.

On top of this, they would also like to implement changes that will allow players to create not just maps but custom game modes and activities too. The goal is to transform Map Maker into a sandbox-like experience.
