Initial tests for Overwatch Rush are currently underway.
Overwatch Rush, Blizzard's top-down Hero Shooter based in the Overwatch universe, was announced on February 24 to much fanfare from the community.
Less than a week later, the developers have confirmed the game will enter its first regional testing phase. The first test officially began in the Philippines, specifically for Android users, on February 26.
Blizzard has described this initial rollout as being "intentionally focused" in Overwatch Rush's Discord server.

Hitting the Ground Running With Overwatch Rush
The turnover between the official announcement and the testing phase was certainly fast. However, this should not be a surprise, as there appears to be a highly organized development structure in place for Overwatch Rush.
The upcoming title is being developed by a "dedicated team at Blizzard, separate from Team 4, all of whom have deep mobile experience," according to Blizzard.
The developers argue that these tests will provide important data and feedback from players that will allow them to shape the game into providing players with the best experience possible.
We know many of you around the world are eager to jump in, and we’re just as excited to get the game into your hands. We’re working hard to bring Overwatch Rush testing to more regions, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
The duration of this test is unclear at the moment. It's also unclear if more regions will be added in this current test.
Early impressions are showing promising signs for the Overwatch Rush's future. One player described the game as "a bite-sized version of Overwatch for your phone, and everything maps to the top-down perspective really well."
The game is very much in early development, with changes to the gameplay and further optimization expected to take place over the course of its development roadmap. Blizzard has not confirmed an official release date for the game yet.
