Rust Mobile is on the horizon, and fans are eager to know when they can jump into the action.

The wait is almost over—Rust Mobile is finally making its way to mobile devices. After years of requests from the community, a mobile adaptation of the classic survival game is officially under development.
Rust Mobile was first revealed in August 2025, though rumors about its existence and potential development were circling online long before then.
Developed under an official license from Facepunch Studios, Rust Mobile aims to stick to the gameplay elements that made Rust, well, Rust. It promises "open-world exploration, tense PvP battles, base building, and that constant feeling of 'trust no one.'"

It's evident that the developer's objective is to deliver a ruthless survival experience that fans know and love. But, with Rust Mobile, players will be able to jump in from anywhere. Expect dynamic weather, tense battles, and of course, that ever-present fear that something evil may be lurking just around the corner.
Rust Mobile Has No Confirmed Release Date
No official release date has been confirmed for Rust Mobile. This is largely due to the fact that the game is currently in its early stages of development.

It will need to undergo a period of development, followed by a rigorous testing schedule (consisting of closed tests and open tests), and, finally, various rounds of polishing before its global launch.
The game’s first closed beta will kick off in early November 2025 for a yet-to-be-confirmed period of time. Up to 30,000 players across North America, Western Europe, and select regions in Asia will be invited to the inaugural test.
Assuming that everything goes to according the the game's development roadmap, a global release for Rust Mobile between mid- to late-2026 is entirely possible. However, a launch in 2027 shouldn't be considered out of the picture either.
How to Pre-Register for Rust Mobile

You can pre-register for Rust Mobile by heading to the game's official website. Once you do so, you'll receive updates about the game's development and information about future tests.
There is currently no way for players to pre-register for Rust Mobile via the Google Play Store or App Store. However, that should become available when the game nears its release. Pre-registering this way will ensure that the game is automatically downloaded onto your device after it is launched in your region.
Originally launched in early access back in 2013 and fully released in 2018, Rust has become one of the most popular survival games on PC. Known for its brutal PvP, high-stakes raiding, and unpredictable player interactions, the game has built a massive community over the years. A mobile adaptation is a step forward in enabling this dedicated playerbase to enjoy their favorite game on the go.
