PUBG Mobile has recently launched a beta version of the upcoming 3.4 update, promising to set the stage for a "legendary battle."
While PUBG Mobile may be amid the 'Ocean Odyssey' themed 3.3 update, it hasn't stopped them from rolling out tests of the upcoming update. Scheduled to be released on September 13, the 3.4 update will usher in yet another new iteration of the game, replete with novel weapons, features, gameplay changes, and a new theme.
In typical fashion, the developers of PUBG Mobile have launched a beta version the 3.4 update, which allows players to gain a sneak peek into what it has to offer. The first test kicked off on August 8 and has already left many in the community on the edge of their seats due to how game-changing some of these can be for the meta.
As more beta versions are released, we'll gain a deeper picture of the update in total. But for now, to help you familiarize yourself with what we know so far, we've compiled all the upcoming features revealed in the first beta version.
All New Features In The PUBG Mobile 3.4 Update
The biggest sneak peek into the coming 3.4 update is the Werewolf vs. Vampire theme. It's no surprise that, with each update, PUBG Mobile likes to switch the game's overall look and feel, but this time, it'll be a bit more mythical.
This new theme introduces the new Transformation skill. This gameplay mechanic, as the name might suggest, allows you to transform into either a werewolf or a vampire. You'll gain added stats and abilities which could introduce interesting strategy calls for those using them and those facing them.
On top of this, themed-inspired areas will make their way to PUBG Mobile. This includes the likes of the Crimson Castle, Wolf Tribe area, and a revamped in-game atmosphere. A War Horse Mount will be added to the game.
Gameplay Improvements Include Dual-Wielding, Map Changes & More
Not only will we see new features added to the game, but we will also see several improvements implemented as part of the wider game update.
It includes useful additions such as the ability to heal when driving. In the past, PUBG Mobile players have called for this as it's widely seen in other shooter games, so naturally, this would be a welcome feature. Additionally, the ability to dual-wield a weapon will be added, thus enabling players to deal twice the damage, but with the cost of overall handling.
In regards to maps, players will see much-needed improvements to Erangel. From the beta version alone, we can see a new transfer mechanic and the arrival of themed game modes.
