The Builder Base 2.0 rework has introduced a flurry of new changes to Clash of Clans. A second buildable area (otherwise known as a 'stage'), Builder Hall 10, a new second builder named B.O.B, and so much more were added.

Another new feature added to the Builder Base was Troop abilities. The devs mentioned that they wanted troops to "feel like the heroes of the battlefield" and to make battles more immersive.

With this feature, it allows you to have more control over your troops and how they impact your overall attack strategy in the game. So, here's a look at all of these new troop abilities in Builder Base 2.0.

Troop abilities vary for each troop. They can either automatically activate when a troop is deployed or require you to tap the troop to activate its ability (similar to the Battle Machine).

For the most part, many troops have received new abilities in Builder Base 2.0.

Here are all of the troop abilities:

TroopAbility
Raged Barbarian
  • Rage (Passive Ability): Speed and damage are increased for the first 22 seconds after deployment.
Sneaky Archer
  • Cloak (Passive Ability): Invisible to defenses for the first 11 seconds after deployment.
Boxer Giant
  • Power Punch (Passive Ability): The first attack deals extra damage.
  • Boxer Block (1-Time Active Ability): When activated, Boxer Giant becomes temporarily surrounded by a protective shield that leaves him invincible to damage.
Beta Minion
  • Power Shot (Passive Ability): The first few attacks from the Beta Minion shoot faster, have longer range, and deal extra damage.
Bomber
  • Bouncing Bomb (Cooldown Ability): When activated, Bomber’s next attack launches a large explosive that bounces twice and deals very high damage to Walls. This ability can be used several times once the cooldown timer has been refreshed.
Baby Dragon
  • Tantrum (Passive Ability): When no other air units are in nearby to the Baby Dragon, his damage is increased.
  • Fiery Sneeze (1-Time Active Ability): The Baby Dragon will launch a cone-shaped attack of fire, dealing damage in front of him.
Cannon Cart
  • Mortar Mode (Mode Switch Ability): Cannon Cart can alternate between its mobile shorter range but higher damage mode and a stationary, long-range artillery mode that deals less damage. You will be able to toggle between these two modes during battle.
Night Witch
  • Bat Swarm (1-Time Active Ability): Summons a swarm of bats that deal extra damage for the first few seconds of its deployment.
Drop Ship
  • Skeleton Bomb (1-Time Active Ability): When activated, the Drop Ship will drop a bomb below its current position, dealing area damage along with extra damage to Walls. The explosion effect will also summon Skeletons that continue attacking as ground Troops.
Power P.E.K.K.A
  • Overcharge (1-Time Active Ability): You can manually activate P.E.K.K.A's explosive ability that deals area damage around it.
