In the midst of the heat that the Supercell devs have been getting for their poorly-received March update in Clash Royale, they have announced another major change that will be hitting the game.

The Path of Legends will be played exclusively using the Mega Draft game mode for the entirety of Season 46 (April 2023).

This means that all games in every League, from Challenger 1 to Ultimate Champion, will use the Mega Draft mode instead of the usual 1v1 battles. During this time, all Card Levels and Tower Powers will be capped at Level 11.

Besides the swapping of the game format, the number of steps in the Path of Legends will be reduced from 93 to 76.

This move was teased during the previews for the March update in Clash Royale. Understandably, this is a bizarre change and the devs themselves have admitted that this is the "first time that they have tried something like this."

Though this change will only last for the duration of Season 46, there is a possibility that if this adjustment is positively received, the devs may implement it as a permanent change in the future.
