Updates are arguably the most exciting time in Clash Royale. In the past, we've seen the addition of new cards, gameplay changes, features, cosmetics, and much more.
There are two different types of updates that Supercell releases. Those that arrive at the beginning of every new season (as usual) and those implemented when the devs introduce sweeping new changes that have the potential to alter key mechanics.
Regardless of the update type, you desperately want to know when the next one will roll around. So, without further ado, let's dive into when the next update is released.

What to Expect in the Next Clash Royale Update
Supercell has confirmed that the next major update for Clash Royale will be released on November 24th, 2025. The November update will be an extensive one, as it implements various changes to existing mechanics and introduces new additions that will certainly shake up the game.
For starters, the biggest addition is the arrival of Level 16. This means cards will have a higher ceiling that they can be upgraded to and, with it, improved stats. Level 15 will remain the capped level for cards in Ranked Mode, but only for six months after Level 16 is introduced.
A long list of changes will also be implemented on the progression system. Supercell's goal is to simplify the experience and make it easier for all players to upgrade their cards. As a result, the card and Gold requirements to upgrade your cards, especially upgrades for the mid-tier levels, will be reduced in the coming update.
Additionally, Elite Wild Cards, Books, and Magic Coins will be removed from the game. Any remaining items you have left in your inventory after this update is released will be converted into equivalent resources, such as Wild Cards, Gems, and Gold.
A brand-new currency known as Crystals will be added to Clash Royale in this update. Not much is known about it just yet, but we can confirm that it is a currency you can spend to unlock exclusive emotes and cosmetics at the Shop.
On top of all this, 2v2 League will be added, an Evolution Box is slated to be revealed, and the Trophy Road is scheduled for a rework.
When Will The Next Season of Clash Royale Start?
The next season of Clash Royale, Season 78, will begin on December 1st, 2025.
Like previous seasons, you can expect a fresh batch of balance changes, new seasonal events/challenges, and a novel Card Evolution. Seasonal cosmetics can also be unlocked along the way.
Given how Season 78 will take place during the festive Christmas season, we anticipate that Supercell will host limited-time themed events that will reward players with event-exclusive items.
