Updates are arguably the most exciting time in Clash Royale. In the past, we've seen the addition of new cards, gameplay changes, features, cosmetics, and much more.
There are two different types of updates that Supercell releases. Those that arrive at the beginning of every new season and those implemented when the devs introduce sweeping new changes.
Regardless of the update type, you desperately want to know when the next one will roll around. So, without further ado, let's dive into when the next update is released.
What to Expect in the Next Clash Royale Update
The next update is slated for June 2, 2025. It will see the beginning of Season 72.
The blueprint for this coming season is similar to what we've seen in past seasons. There will be a new series of balance changes, the refreshal of the monthly Pass Royale, and a reset of the Ranked (Path of Legends) leaderboards.
Besides this, a new Card Evolution is on its way to Clash Royale. Supercell has hinted that the Inferno Dragon will be on the receiving end of this Evolution.
In terms of major game updates, we anticipate the next one will be released in the second half of 2025. This is because we only recently had one in April this year. It updated the way the Seasonal and Battle reward system works and introduced other quality-of-life changes.
