Destiny: Rising's biggest update is arriving later this month, bringing more Original Story Content Drops, New Maps and Features, Pinnacle Energy Removal, and Free Characters Moving Forward.
NetEase Games' sci-fi looter shooter, Destiny: Rising, is getting its biggest update since the game's launch back in August of last year, with Season 4, titled "Season of Wishes."
Season of Wishes will go live on Thursday, March 26, and will feature new story content, a map, features, and much more, along with quality-of-life optimisations.
New Destination: Red Sea Rift
The new story, in particular, will take players to the Red Sea Rift, a brand-new destination that offers two distinct paths of engagement: diving directly into the three new story Dungeons, or freely exploring the uncharted expanse of this region and tackling the different content.
Similar to the existing destinations, Red Sea Rift will have exploration-based rewards along with others that you can earn by solving the destination's various puzzles. Dynamic world content, such as "Frontline Events" and "Public Events," etc.
Free Heroes, Exotic Weapons and Challenges
In addition to the new destination and story content, Season 4 will also evolve the core gameplay of Destiny: Rising.
The new season brings Mythic characters, which will be free to unlock by completing their dedicated events, starting with the Mythic-tier hero Efrideet.
Three classic Destiny 2 Exotic weapons and a new Mythic weapon series are also added to expand your arsenal.
Great Hunt Gauntlet Onslaught Raid Release
Gauntlet Onslaught raid, Great Hunt, arrives in early April. You can challenge the boss in Njorun Lair and complete speed runs for exclusive rewards.
Aside from that, two new 3-player cooperative Strike missions will be added to the existing lineup, alongside other additional maps and content updates across multiple modes.
Lastly, for veteran players, “Operation Cordon” and “The Expanse” will receive new highest-difficulty tiers for greater challenges.
