We may soon receive new information about the future of Valorant Mobile.
Tencent has seemingly confirmed that a major announcement regarding Valorant Mobile is set to be made at the end of August. It appears that Riot Games and Tencent are preparing to reveal more about the game's long-awaited global rollout.
The announcement will take place during Worlds of Play: The Game Art Exhibition in Cologne, an event that aims to "showcase iconic game IPs from around the world through curated artistic interpretations and collectible artwork."
The event is scheduled for August 27–29, 2026, and is expected to feature "global debuts" from Tencent's portfolio, including Valorant Mobile, which is prominently featured in Tencent's promotional video for the event.
Signs Suggest A Valorant Mobile Release Could Be Soon
Valorant Mobile has been available in China since August 2025, when it launched on both Android and iOS.
There have been signs that Riot is increasingly looking beyond the Chinese audience. Players recently reported seeing English-language elements and broader surveys within the Chinese version, including questions aimed at international players.
While these factors aren't any confirmation of an imminent global release, they have certainly added to speculation that Riot is preparing the game for additional regions.
Still, with Gamescom just around the corner and Valorant Mobile now having spent a full year operating in China, an announcement could be closer than ever. If a global version of Valorant Mobile is revealed soon, it could become one of the biggest mobile gaming launches of 2026.
Valorant is Riot Games' first-person tactical shooter that was first launched in 2020 on PC. Since then, its availability has spread to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game features 5v5 tactical action, where teams alternate between attacking and defending objectives across rounds.
