Clash Royale will be launching another massive update this year that will seek to improve the overall gameplay experience and provide players with a brand-new Champion card.

We have already seen the arrival of two major updates to the game in 2023. In March, there was a gameplay-focused update that reworked the Pass Royale, introduced Season Tokens, and revamped Events. A few months later in the June update, Card Evolution, Card Level 15, and Elite Levels were introduced and added a new ceiling for which players to achieve in terms of card potential.

This new update pales in comparison in terms of size, but we believe that its impact would be felt throughout the Clash Royale community. From a broad perspective, the October update seeks to rectify long-standing issues that have plagued the game.

New Champion Card Will Be Coming To Clash Royale In November

Season 53 will see the introduction of a new Champion card to Clash Royale. It is expected to be released on November 6, 2023.

While no details have been officially released about their name or stats, one rumor in particular offers some insight into what this new card will offer.

The image above indicates the Ability Icon of the new Champion. Activating it will supposedly spawn a "Little Prince" unit that will aid the Champion on the battlefield. We believe this new card will offer a unique set of abilities that vastly differentiate against other Champions in the game.

It is fair to note that this new Champion comes a year after the Monk Champion was added to Clash Royale.

Two Bot Practice Modes Have Been Added

The Clash Royale team has added two new bot game modes that players can enter to experiment with decks and improve their skills.

The first mode allows players to start a match against a bot that has the same deck and card levels from a match they had previously played against. To play this version, you will need to find the match from the Battle Log and tap the 'Practice' button. Personally, this mode is impressive as it offers us a second chance to match up against decks that we have lost to.

The second mode, Training Camp Battle, allows players to match up against a competitive bot that will do their best to defeat you. It is a great option for players looking to improve their strategy skills and to prepare for tougher opponents.

Game Improvements & Bug Fixes

Besides the above additions, several game improvements were implemented into Clash Royale to improve the overall gameplay experience.

These include:

  • Improved in-game communication about Evolutions and Elite Wild Cards through UI pop-ups
  • Removed King Level cap on trades of Elite cards
  • Removed Android external storage permissions
  • Stopped conversion of Magic Items to Elite Wild Cards if Elite Wild Card inventory is full

Moreover, a swath of bugs were fixed. The most impactful changes were the fixing of the game crashes when buying Elite Wild Cards from the shop while at the inventory limit and the Chests in the Shop showing the incorrect Arena.
