Wild Rift Patch 4.0 Balance Changes: Buffs, Nerfs, Adjustments

A new set of balance changes has arrived in Wild Rift alongside the patch 4.0 update.

Wild Rift is starting 2023 with a bang as a new game update, patch 4.0, has just landed in the game. We're seeing new additions such as two champions, the return of All Random Ultra Rapid Fire game mode, adjustments to the late-game, and tank item improvements, to name a few.

As customary with every new patch, new balance changes are deployed alongside it. There are a series of buffs, nerfs, and adjustments that were implemented to balance the meta and make the gameplay experience more enjoyable for all.

Here's a look at the patch 4.0 balance changes.

Wild Rift Patch 4.0 Balance Changes - Champion Buffs

Corki, Kai'Sa, Miss Fortune, Renekton, Samira, Shyvana, Singed, and Sion were buffed in patch 4.0.

Here are the buffs in detail:

  • Phosphorous Bomb cast time decreased from 0.27 → 0.27 ~ 0.18 (Scales with attack speed)
  • Base Attack Damage increased from 58 → 62
  • Attack Damage per level increased from 2.65 → 3
  • Icathian Rain Attack Damage ratio increased from 45% → 50%
  • Void Seeker cast time decreased from 0.34 seconds → 0.34 ~ 0.227 seconds (Scales with attack speed)
Miss Fortune
  • Make It Rain Ability Power ratio increased from 10% → 10/12/14/16%
  • Bullet Time Ability Power ratio increased from 25% → 30%
  • Bullet Time Total Ability Power ratio increased from 300/350/400% → 360/420/480%
  • Cull The Meek cooldown decreased from 8 seconds → 7 seconds
  • Cull The Meek base heal increased from 4/6/8/10 → 5/7/9/11
  • Flair base damage increased from 5/10/15/20 → 10/15/20/25
  • Health gain per level increased from105 → 112
  • Twin Bite cooldown reduced from 9/8/7/6 seconds → 8.5/7.5/6.5/5.5 seconds
  • Twin Bite Evolved Twin Bites slow increased from 40% → b
  • Poison Trail mana cost per second decreased from 15 → 12
  • Poison Trail Ability Power increased from 30% → 35%
  • Insanity Potion health and mana recovery per second increased from 6/11/16 → 6/13/20
  • Glory In Death bonus health per large unit kill increased from 15 → 20
  • Decimating Smash minimum base damage increased from 25/55/85/115 → 40/65/90/115 (Full Charge maximum damage unchanged)
  • Roar Of The Slayer slow increased from 40/45/50/55% → 50/55/60/65%

Irelia, Kha'Zix, Lillia, and Shen were buffed in patch 4.0.

Here are their nerfs in detail:

  • Bladesurge no longer follows blink effects
  • Taste Their Fear cooldown reduction on isolated targets reduced from 45% → 30%
  • Health per level decreased from 112 → 104
  • Blooming Blows base damage decreased from 35/55/75/95 → 35/50/65/80
  • Blooming Blows monster modification decreased from 130% → 110%
  • Twilight Assault bonus damage to monsters decreased from 200% → 150%
  • Twilight Assault monster damage cap reduced from 250 → 225

Wild Rift Patch 4.0 - Champion Adjustments

Camille received a major adjustment in patch 4.0. Riot argued that this makes it easier for newer players to master her. It is also meant to keep her abilities in check.

Here is Camille's adjustment in detail:

  • After 1.6 seconds of the first empowered attack, Precision Protocol automatically empowers another basic attack, converting the bonus damage to true damage.
  • Precision Protocol bonus movement speed rescaled from 15/20/25/30% → 25%
  • Precision Protocol Bonus movement speed duration increased from 1 second → 1.5 seconds
  • In Tactical Sweep, Camille’s bonus damage now applies to the entire area of effect instead of just the outer half, dealing (90/120/150/180 +110% bonus AD) and an additional (4/6/8/10)% of the target's maximum health as physical damage. If you do sweetspot the outer half of the cone, however, enemies are slowed by 80% for 2 seconds, and Camille heals for 50% of the damage dealt.
  • If Camille misses the initial cast of Hookshot, it is placed on a 3-second cooldown instead of a full cooldown.
  • Upon recasting Hookshot, Camille detaches from the terrain and dashes in the target direction, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies on arrival. If she hits an enemy champion, she stuns them for 0.75 seconds and gains bonus attack speed for 5 seconds. Also, Camille's next basic attack against enemy champions within 3 seconds, grants bonus attack speed for 5 seconds.

Cosmic Drive, Inspiration: Pathfinder, Mortal Reminder, and Spirit Visage were buffed in patch 4.0.

Cosmic Drive

  • Total cost decreased from 2,900 Gold → 2,800 Gold
  • Ability Power increased from 70 → 75
Inspiration: Pathfinder
  • Bonus movement speed in the river increased from 20 → 30
  • Bonus movement speed in the river after leaving combat increased from 10 → 20
Mortal Reminder
  • Total cost decreased from 3,100 Gold → 3,000 Gold
Spirit Visage
  • Passive changed to 'Increases heals and shields on yourself by 30%'
