Wild Rift Patch 4.3b Balance Changes: Buffs, Nerfs & Adjustments

The next Wild Rift update, patch 4.3b, will be coming to the game soon. Here's an overview of all the balance changes it will introduce.

Wild Rift has seen some impressive new additions in the past few weeks such as the Tag Duel game mode and the addition of Vladimir.

While they're welcome additions, the devs - in their usual fashion - will need to implement balance changes to keep the meta balanced and players happy. This will be added in the next update, patch 4.3b. Riot has revealed a complete list of everything in it.

Patch 4.3b was released on August 23, 2023. The new patch will also introduce a new Wild Pass where the Food Spirits Yuumi skin will be available as a reward as well as other new Mecha skins.

Fortunately for many, patch 4.3b will overall be a positive update. The patch will largely introduce buffs to champions and items. Pyke, Miss Fortune, and Jayce will benefit hugely from the improvements to their skills and abilities.

On the other hand, only one item will be nerfed: Inspiration: Glacial Augment.

  • If you're looking to improve in Wild Rift, then you can start with what the pro players usually use: finger sleeves . They help reduce sweat and make sure your fingers stay comfortable throughout matches.

Inspiration: Pathfinder and Domination: Shield Bash were adjusted.

Here's a detailed overview of all the Wild Rift patch 4.3b balance changes:

Champion/Rune

Balance Changes

Aatrox
  • Deathbringer Stance healing effect from hitting minions increased from 50% → 60%
  • The Darkin Blade damage ratio to minions increased from 55% → 65%
Akali
  • Assassin's Mark: Moving towards the outside of the ring of energy grants you bonus movement speed: 30% → 30/40/50/60%
  • Assassin's Mark: Exiting the ring of energy towards enemy champions grants you bonus movement speed: 30% → 30/40/50/60%
  • Five Point Strike energy consumption decreased from 120/100/80/60 → 105/90/75/60
Akshan
  • Attack gain per level increased from 4.55 → 5.5
  • Comeuppance minimum damage increased from 20/25/30 + 10% attack damage → 20/30/40 + 10% attack damage
  • Comeuppance maximum damage increased from 80/100/120 + 40% attack damage → 80/120/160 + 40% attack damage
Fiora
  • Lunge [NEW]: Lunge now does damage to turrets
Irelia
  • Defiant Dance damage reduction increased from (50 + 7% ability power)% → (60 + 7% ability power)%
  • Defiant Danace base damage increased from 10/30/50/70 → 20/35/50/65
Jarvan IV
  • Martial Cadence cooldown of acting on the same target decreased from 6 seconds → 5 seconds
  • Golden Aegis basic shield value increased from 80/120/160/200 → 80/120/160/200 + 4% maximum health
  • Cataclysm [NEW]: Damage from enemies is reduced by 12/16/20% inside Cataclysm, the effect will be removed when leaving Cataclysm or the barrier surrounding the terrain collapses
Jayce
  • Base attack damage increased from 52 → 54
  • Lightning Field/Hyper Charge (Hammer Stance) [NEW]: Damage ratio to monsters: 70%
  • Thundering Blow/Acceleration Gate (Hammer Stance) damage ratio increased from 8/11/14/17/20% targets maximum health + 100% bonus attack damage → 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% targets maximum health + 100% bonus attack damage
  • Maximum damage to monsters decreased from 200/325/450/575/700 → 150/275/400/525/650
  • Mercury Cannon/Mecury Hammer bonus armor and magic resistance gained in hammer stance increased from 3 + 2 x Level → 3 + 2 x Level + 9% bonus attack damage
Karma
  • Inner Flame base damage increased from 60/100/140/180 → 70/110/150/190
  • Mantra bonus damage increased from 60/140/220/300 → 70/150/230/310
  • Inspire shield value increased from 60/90/120/150 + 50% ability power → 70/100/130/160 + 65% ability power
  • Inpsire mantra bonus shield increased from 120/180/240/300 + 5% ability power → 140/200/260/320 + 65% ability power
Miss Fortunte
  • Base armor increased from increased from 30 → 34
  • Armor increase per level increased from 3.5 → 4
  • Double Up critical hit damage after doubling up increased from 150% → 130/140/150/160%
  • Strut [NEW] passive: If Miss Fortunte does not take damage for 4 seconds, she gains 25 bonus movement speed. 3 seconds later, movement speed bonus increases to 80/85/90/95
  • Strut active bonus attack speed increased from 30/50/70/90% → 45/60/75/90%
Pyke
  • Attack damage increase per level increased from 2.65 → 3.5
  • Bone Skewer basic damage increased from 120/185/250/315 → 130/195/ 260/325
  • Bonus Skewer damage ratio to minions decreased from 80% → 50%
  • Bonus Skewer damage ratio to monsters decreased from 90% → 50%
  • Phantom Undertow base damage increased from 110/160/210/260 → 120/170/220/270
  • Phantom Undertow base stun duration increased from 1.25 seconds → 1.5 seconds
  • Phantom Undertow damage ratio to monsters decreased from 100% → 50%
Riven
  • Runic Blade [NEW] damage ratio to monsters: 50%
  • Broken Wings damage increased from 15/40/65/90+55/60/65% attack damage → 20/45/70/95+55/60/65/70% attack damage
  • Valor cooldown decreased from 10/9/8/7 seconds → 9/8/7/6 seconds
Sion
  • Roar of the Slayer basic damage increased from 65/110/155/200 → 75/120/165/210
  • Roar of the Slayer mana consumption decreased from 40/45/50/55 → 35/40/45/50
Zed
  • Living Shadow cooldown decreased from 20/18/16/14 seconds → 17/16/15/14 seconds
Domination: Mark of the Weak
  • Cooldown decreased from 20 seconds → 15 seconds
Domination: Shield Bash
  • Base damage increased from 5 - 30 → 15 - 50
  • Bonus attack ratio decreased from 20% → 15%
Inspiration: Pathfinder
  • [NEW]: Gain 50 bonus movement speed in the river. Regenerate 2% lost health or 2% lost mana per second in the river and out of combat
Inspiration: Glacial Augment
  • Slowdown effect of the slowdown zone decreased from (2% bonus health of the carrier + 20)% → (1.5% bonus health of the carrier + 20)%
  • Damage reduction effect decreased from 15% → 12%
