Riot has released the first patch of the year for Legends of Runeterra. Here's a look at all the balance changes and bug fixes.
Patch 4.0 is the latest game update to land in Legends of Runeterra. It's the first patch of 2023 and will bring much-needed changes to the game after December was quiet in terms of balance changes. It was admittedly for good reason as the Legends of Runeterra World Championship was taking place so Riot did not want to affect the players' preparation.
But the competition is over now and we're glad to see that a new patch has finally been released. The balance changes included within it target several overpowered cards that have been upsetting the meta.
Here's a closer look at all the balance changes and bug fixes that were introduced in patch 4.0.
Legends Of Runeterra Patch 4.0 - Balance Changes
No buffs were introduced in patch 4.0 - only nerfs. The meta has been unstable as Aatrox and Vayne have been incredibly dominant lately. This new set of balance changes will remedy this and the cards that synergize with them.
Here are the details of the balance changes in patch 4.0:
Card | Nerf |
Acolyte's Reliquary | Cost increased from 1 → 2 |
Back Alley Bar | Cost increased from 6 → 7 |
Blooming Cultist | Removed Attune |
Champions' Strength | Cost increased from 8 → 9 |
Darkin Aegis | Base stats decreased from 1|1 → 0|1 |
Fallen Reckoner | Base stats decreased from 4|3 → 3|2 |
Risen Reckoner | Base stats decreased from 6|3 → 5|2 |
The Unforgiving Cold | Cost increased from 4 → 5 |
Vayne | Base stats decreased from 3|4 → 3|3 |
World Ender | Cost increased from 13 → 16 |
