Power-ups are a brand-new, limited-time addition to Brawl Stars in the coming SpongeBob season. As their name might suggest, you can attain bonus stats and abilities when you equip them to your favorite brawler.

However, there is one limitation. Each Power-up can only be equipped by brawlers from a certain class. For example, the Bubble Power-up can only be used by Controller brawlers and not by Tanks or Supports.

With that in mind, a lot of thought and consideration must go into deciding which brawler should equip a Power-up if you want to extract the most potential. To help you get an idea of what perks they offer, we've assembled a guide to explain what these Power-ups do in Brawl Stars.

There are seven Power-ups available in Brawl Stars. Each power-up has three different upgrade levels. Naturally, the higher the level, the better the perks you receive. Power-ups are only active in game modes with the SpongeBob modifier (symbolized by the flower cloud icon).

You can unlock new power-ups by opening Power Meals, a limited-time item that can be purchased at the Krusty Krab store with Krusty Kash.

In the table below, you can find an overview of how each Power-up works and which brawler class they belong to:

Power-up

Class

Description
BubbleControllerYour basic attack leaves a trail of bubbles on the ground that damage enemies who pass over them. At the end of the trail, an explosion is released to spawn in even more bubbles.
Chum BallsDamage DealerHitting an enemy gets you a Chum Ball, giving you homing projectiles, increased movement speed, and heals you for a short time.
Clockwork ClarinetMarksmanYour attacks are empowered by Squidward's 'music', allowing you to store up to two attacks that can pierce through environments and brawlers
Doodle PineappleArtilleryAfter a short cooldown, your basic attacks drop a pineapple from the sky that deals damage, leaves a damaging area, and then explodes to scatter damaging pineapple chunks.
Kelp SodaSupportA permanent healing area surrounds you. Healing allies also charge your Super. Using your Super will spawn in a Power Cube.
Krabby PattyTankA Krabby Patty orbits around you as a shield. When destroyed, it grants increased damage resistance, movement speed, and charge for your Super for a short time.
SpatulaAssassinA spatula will periodically orbit around you. When enemies are low on health, your attacks will take them down instantly if you have a spatula. You also get a speed boost and become invisible after defeating an enemy.

These useful in-game perks are only available during the SpongeBob season, so be sure to utilize them to the best of your abilities while they're around.
