In this tier list, we've ranked all the Heroes you can currently find in the Clash Royale roster from best to worst.
Heroes are special versions of regular Cards that come equipped with unique abilities and effects that can be activated during a match, similar to Card Evolutions. However, the key difference is that Heroes have active abilities that are reminiscent of Champions.
There are currently four Heroes in Clash Royale — a small pool to choose from, but not too bad considering they were only added to the game in the recent November update.
Given how game-changing some of these Heroes can be when added to your deck, figuring out which ones stand out and which ones don't can have a massive impact on how well your deck performs, regardless of the game mode. So, that's where this tier list will come in handy.
All Heroes in Clash Royale, Ranked
We've ranked each Hero based on how strong their individual abilities are and, effectively, how suited they are for the current meta.
Our tier list has four tiers. Starting with the S-tier at the very top, Cards in this tier are the shining beacon of what a Hero should be. They're strong, and their abilities are difficult to counter.
A step lower is the A-tier, which showcases above-average Heroes who are strong in their own rights, but have minor flaws. B-tier Heroes are below-average picks who are, more often than not, situational picks who can shine in the right set of circumstances.
The F-tier houses the worst Heroes in the current roster. They're not particularly effective, so it's best you leave them out of your decks unless you can find some great synergy with them.
Here's our Hero tier list for Clash Royale:
Tier | Hero |
| S | Hero Knight |
| A | Hero Musketeer |
| B | Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A |
| F | Hero Giant |
We'll adjust the rankings whenever novel balance changes are implemented or after new Heroes are added.
Best Heroes in Clash Royale
Currently, the best Hero in the roster has to be the Hero Knight.
The regular Knight has long been a staple in the Clash Royale meta, so gifting him with a powerful ability in his Hero form just adds to his insane list of strengths.
The 2-Elixir ability in question is known as Triumphant Taunt, and, when activated, allows the Hero Knight to distract enemies. He also raises his shield, which grants him additional HP and forces nearby enemies to attack him. Overall, this makes the Hero Knight a distraction, tank, and damage dealer all in one.
Worst Heroes in Clash Royale
The worst Hero in Clash Royale at the moment is the Hero Giant.
Unfortunately, we don't find much utility in his special ability called Heroic Hurl. It's a 2-Elixir ability, which enables him to throw the nearest, highest-HP enemy to the other lane.
The meta at the moment sees a lot of decks running low-HP, swarm-type decks, which, as you'd probably know, are decent counters against high-HP troops such as the Hero Giant. On top of this, the Hero Giant can only attack Buildings, so he's essentially defenseless unless you deploy him alongside other troops.
